Volunteers of America Oregon

About Us

Our Mission:
To enhance lives by promoting self-determination,
building strong communities and standing for social justice.

Our Story

Helping Oregonians since 1896, Volunteers of America Oregon is one of the oldest non-profit service agencies in the state. That means over 100 years of continuous service and countless success stories from the people whose lives were changed and the families that we help strengthen.

Throughout this time, the agency has been a leader in the search for innovative solutions to some of our community’s most prevalent social challenges: poverty, child abuse, substance abuse, addiction, domestic violence, family safety, adequate, affordable childcare, and adult
day services.

VOA Oregon has been an enduring, effective organization because of our innovation, creativity, and commitment to results and outcomes.

Our ongoing endeavor to determine our community’s needs, and developing services for meeting those needs, will help us to continue our mission. This is our promise to you, the community we serve.
