Receiving this scholarship has opened doors in my life that I could have only dreamed about. I want to continue striding through life by knocking down barriers for myself and others and doing so with humility. Resiliency is a trait that I wear with honor and carrying the late Al Forthan’s legacy through his scholarship will be the catalyst in persevering towards my goals.
