With Nathaniel Peterson, CGAC II, CADCII, QMHA

Disordered gambling can be devastating to the gambler, family, friends, employer, and our communities. With the 4th wave of gambling upon us access and availability of gambling has exploded over the past decade, and we see increasing numbers of individuals who suffer from gambling use disorders and many of us may have clients who struggle with gambling use disorders, and we are seeing increasing number of clients reporting co-occurring gambling disorders that many time go unaddressed due to clients omitting information during intake and assessments. This training will increase your awareness and understanding of what problem gambling is, what to listen for from your client’s, and ways to engage in a conversation about gambling with your clients by raising awareness and understanding of gambling use disorders and develop skills in how to provide a Gambling Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment (GBIRT) with you clients.
