VOA President and CEO Kay Toran Receives an Honorary Doctorate from University of Portland
 

 

VOA Oregon's President and CEO Kay Toran received an honorary doctorate from the University of Portland at its spring commencement, held on Sunday, May 6.  

 In addition to her work with Volunteers of America Oregon, Kay currently serves on the Boards of the Oregon Community Foundation, the Oregon Center for Public Policy, Providence Health and Services and the University of Portland - Board of Regents. She has been recognized by the state and other organizations for her service and leadership, including the Astra Award for Excellence from the International Astra Society, the White Rose Award from the March of Dimes, the Urban Pioneer Award from Portland State, Alumna of the Year from Portland State, CEO of the Year from the Portland Business Journal and Mayor Sam Adams has proclaimed August 19th as a Day of Appreciation for Kay Toran
