VOA Oregon Purchases New Property

Volunteers of America Oregon is growing. With the purchase of a new property at 8815 NE Glisan street, we are excited to create a new campus concept within our organization. At 5.67 acres, this new location allows for us to move to co-locating some of our programs in one location, creating a new community resources and one-stop service delivery.

“I am excited about the doors for this new property opening to serve the children, youth, adults, and families in our community,” shares Kay Toran, President and CEO. “This campus concept allows us to not only expand the capacity of our current programs, but to also find new ways to serve the needs of our community.”

The original pledge of Volunteers of America is to “go wherever we are needed & do whatever comes to hand.” This pledge, from 125 years ago, stands true with the organization today. The expansion at the new Glisan Street location will allow us to improve our services for those in the community, remove barriers and connect the community with a variety of holistic, trauma-informed services.

We are continuing to build the vision for this new location and look forward to sharing with you the growth of our services and resources as we move into the future.
