Teen Services: What We Offer
Contact Us: 503-239-3929
Who We Are:
The Home Free Teen Program supports and empowers teens who have experienced violence and works to prevent further violence through information sharing about healthy relationships, consent, and teen-specific advocacy. Through teen-specific services, our goal is to create a community where teens feel safe, secure, and valued as individuals.
What We Offer:
Support Services: We offer support to teens who have experienced violence in their lives through one-on-one meetings at coffee shops, schools, and homes. We help teens explore coping skills, learn about new resources, and receive individualized advocacy and support based on their needs. Support groups at schools and community sites also give teens that have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault a place to share, feel empowered, and to heal.
Prevention Services: Home Free is at the forefront of educating teens to increase awareness about teen dating violence. Home Free’s Teen Advocate has presented to over 1,500 students on healthy relationships, consent, and peer-to-peer advocacy. Additionally, Home Free founded TEEN, the Teen Education and Empowerment Network, which is a network of advocates dedicated to preventing dating, domestic, and sexual violence through empowerment education, community trainings, and dynamic presentations.
