ROADMAPS: For those caring for family members with dementia

ROADMAPS: For those caring for family members with dementia

It's tough cari ng for elderly family members with dementia. And it's hard finding others who can relate. But they're out there, and our group, ROADMAPS, brings them together.

What is ROADMAPS? A casual get-together. A place for people like  you to chat and share support. Each  month members will meet for hors d'oeuvres and sample complementary beverages. What we discuss is up to you — swap stories and tips, learn ways to stay healthy, or just relax and enjoy the fellowship.

Who: We welcome anyone caring for family at home, including spouses, partners, children, and friends.

Where: The Marie Smith Center, 4616 N Albina, Portland, OR 97217.

When: The thirdThursday of every month, from 4:00-5:30pm.

Join us for our on a third Thursday. We'll get to know each other and discuss topics we'd like to explore together. Future meetings may feature presentations from the professional care-giving community, but we'll always leave time to talk!

Want to become a ROADMAPS member? To join, contact Alison Bookman-Skidmore, Program Director. Or call 503-335-9980. Attendance is limited to 20 members.
