Our Impact
At Volunteers of America Oregon, our focus is to create thriving environments for everyone to grow, be healthy, and be safe. From the youngest child to the eldest community member, our services meet people where they are while supporting the individual and building stronger families. Through an evidence-based, holistic approach, our social services provide resources, reduce barriers, and help individuals find their pathway to wellness. Thank You, Volunteers!
Our volunteers and interns are essential in engaging our clients and helping to enhance our services. Volunteers serve in a variety of ways: working the front desk at our residential treatment centers, teaching in our drop-in childcare locations, interacting with the aging community, and supporting domestic violence survivors.
In our treatment programs, interns deliver substance abuse counseling, chiropractic care, and naturopathic services including acupuncture. In our family and children’s programs, interns provide domestic violence advocacy, nursing, trauma-informed childcare, and monitoring of youth involved in the criminal justice system. The interns at VOA Oregon help support our holistic services model contributing to wrap-around care. Visit our Volunteer with VOA Oregon page.
