Operation Backpack® is an annual drive hosted by Volunteers of America and its affiliates, including VOA Oregon, to collect backpacks and school supplies for our community. At VOA Oregon, we are collecting over 350 backpacks to distribute to community members, clients and their children, including children in our Family Relief Nursery, children of parents enrolled in residential and transitional housing programs, children of parents receiving substance use and mental health disorder treatment, and children of survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

How to Get Involved
Donate Backpacks & Supplies:
Shop for supplies and stuff the backpacks on your own before dropping them off or shipping them to our office.
Here’s a list of common supplies we recommend.
Volunteer:
We are looking for volunteers in the greater metro area to help us sort, tag, and distribute backpacks. Stay tuned for more information.
