Dan Harold, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Portland, Oregon where he has a private practice. Dan was born and raised in Portland. In his practice he focuses on working with PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. He is also an adjunct professor at Portland State University within the School of Social Work. He teaches classes in the BSW and MSW program on Policy Work, Motivational Interviewing, Group Facilitation and Working with Individuals and Families. Dan’s first role after graduate school was as a child and family therapist with children who were in the foster care system. Later on he worked at DePaul Treatment Center in downtown Portland working with Co-Occurring Disorders in a SUD treatment setting. Next he worked for Legacy Health Systems in the Pain Management Center where he worked on helping people navigate being prescribed powerful medicines like Suboxone and Benzodiazepines. Today, Dan practices Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Work, and Mindfulness as his core interventions with clients.
