Justin D. Henderson, PhD, NCC is program co-director, co-clinical coordinator, and assistant professor of Professional Mental Health Counseling with specialization in Addictions at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. Dr. Henderson is a licensed psychologist and national certified counselor with clinical and administrative experiences in a wide variety of healthcare settings. Dr. Henderson’s scholarship focuses on improving individual and community wellbeing and advancing social justice. His writing focuses on burnout, self-care, social justice, addiction, and mental health. Dr. Henderson has also published work for broader audiences. His article, Self-Care is Not the Solution to Burnout, became a viral sensation on Medium. He has since been named a Medium Top Writer in the area of Leadership and Business with his focus on systemic approaches to burnout.
