therapyThe Integrated Family Services program includes a Family Decision Meeting Program and Family Therapy. We consult with caseworkers regarding cases that may be referred for service, conduct assessments of family functioning and recommendations for services, and provide family therapy in the home or at the most appropriate location. Our family therapy services cover the full range of issues that are presented in child welfare caseloads.

Our family therapy services cover the full range of issues that are presented in child welfare caseloads. I.F.S. Family Therapists are assigned as liaisons at each DHS branch.
 

IFS Family Decision Meeting Program: This is a strengths-based program that services Multnomah and Washington County Department of Human Services/Child Welfare. As of July 1, 2007 one IFS Facilitator will be available in each of the branches throughout Multnomah County.  Referrals can be made directly to the Facilitators located in each branch.


IFS Family Therapy: This program provides family therapy for up to 4 months, but upon approval from DHS, can be extended beyond that. Family therapy is available to families who have an open case with the Multnomah County Child Welfare system.
