1/10/11: STOP Court saves Oregon taxpayers $57 million
A recent independent evaluation of 20 Oregon drug courts yielded promising results about the programs' effectivess and the savings they present to Oregon taxpayers.
Among the findings, the evaluation reports that drug courts saved Oregon taxpayers a net of $57 million over the course of the study -- and that only includes the clients who participated in the study.
