How InAct Changes Lives
Read the an InAct success story here.
InAct has been providing treatment services to the Multnomah County Drug Court’s STOP Program since 1992, and have graduated more than 2,500 clients to sobriety – a 50% success rate. Research has shown that InAct’s treatment services have effectively contributed to reduced recidivism and decreased tax payer burden. InAct graduates had 76% fewer total subsequent arrests and 85% fewer subsequent new drug related arrests than those who were eligible but chose not to participate in the STOP Program.
Treatment helps individuals, families, and our community.
For every $1.00 spent on the drug court, Multnomah County saves $2.50 and the State of Oregon saves $10.00.
Words from an InAct graduate:
I owe my health to what I’ve learned at InAct. Today, I have a good, long-term job, I pay taxes, I have my children back, and I have a house that I share with my best friend and my very loved pets – and I was once considered mentally disabled. Now I’m back in society, clean and healthy. If I hadn’t gone to InAct, I would still be a mess. I’d be a convicted felon, still using, living off State assistance, my kids in foster care, maybe in jail – or dead. I am what InAct can achieve and I owe my life to InAct!
