Integrated Family Services

Integrated Family Services (IFS) provides therapy to families who have been referred by the Department of Human Services (DHS) to address family problems in order to prevent the recurrence of child abuse/neglect, reduce relationship issues, and reunite families.

IFS brings together the family, their support network, the DHS caseworker, and other service providers to create a plan that will meet the child’s need for safety, attachment and permanency. We work with DHS to identify eligible families, conduct assessments of family functioning and recommendations for services, and provide family therapy in the home or at the most appropriate location.

Our family therapy services cover the full range of issues faced by families involved with child welfare. IFS Family Therapists are assigned to every DHS branch.
