Through our 112 years of providing services to the community, the name Volunteers of America Oregon has become synonymous with compassion and care. We've earned our reputation through dedication and tireless commitment to helping individuals and families create safer, healthier, and more stable lifestyles. 

For as long as we've been around, our programs have been changing lives.  Some people say they can't imagine doing what we do. We say, "We can't imagine not doing it!"

Lawyers "Sing and Dance" for CourtCare

The Multnomah Bar Association raised more than $110,000  during their recent annual campaign for the Multnomah CourtCare program.  An estimated 700 supporters, attorneys and judges alike, either gave donations or participated in special events to raise the funds needed.  Special events included attorneys singing karaoke style, the fancy footwork needed to bowl, and even a wine auction. Al Forthan Memorial Scholarship Fund Wins Community Grant

Volunteers of America Oregon was one of only four agencies selected by students from Jesuit High School to receive a $3,250 grant to support the Al Forthan Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Portland public high school students and encourages them to seek solutions to the issue of addiction among the African-American community.  Learn more about this unique honor.


"Caring for Our Seniors" Breakfast Raises Funds and Awareness

Volunteers of America Oregon supporters, service providers, and members of the community gathered to learn about the unique work of the Senior Services Division.
