Meyer Memorial Trust Provides Core Operating Support to Home Free
Volunteers of America Oregon would like to extend its gratitude to the Meyer Memorial
Trust for its recent grant of $150,000 to provide operating support to Home Free. This grant provides core funding that will help ensure that Home Free can continue to help survivors of family abuse seek safety and security.
An innovative response to domestic violence, Home Free provides face-to-face services to more than 5,000 survivors of domestic violence each year. From emergency services to help survivors flee crisis situation, to ongoing transitional support to help families and individuals establish safe, permanent housing, Home Free's highly individualized services empower survivors to affirm their strength and transition to a life not defined by domestic violence.
Domestic violence affects one in seven women in Multnomah County each year. Volunteers of America Oregon is grateful to the Meyer Memorial Trust for helping us respond to this critical issue in our community.
