Home Free Awarded Grant from Nationwide Insurance Foundation
Many thank to the Nationwide Insurance Foundation for its recent grant of $10,000 to Home Free's Housing First program. Volunteers of America Oregon is grateful for the Nationwide Insurance Foundation's support of an innovative program that helps survivors of domestic violence begin to move forward from the abuse and build stable, self-determined lives.
The Housing First program is currently participating in a four-year study initiated by the Centers for Disease Control to look at the connection between domestic violence and housing. Find out more here. This approach was recently named a best practice by the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
