Bureau of Planning & Sustainability Awards Grant to Day Treatment Program
Volunteers of America Oregon extends its sincere thanks to the Portland Bureau of Planning & Sustainability for its recent grant of $2,500 to support the Day Treatment Program's sustainability efforts.
Funds were awarded through a competitive process and will be used to purchase a commercial-grade dishwasher, which will help reduce waste at mealtimes. In addition, the Day Treatment Program will pilot a composting program and educate clients about recycling and sustainable practices. As they begin new lives of recovery, it is our hope that they will incorporate these practices into their daily living and share them with others.
